Features of Flat Gate Valve

The flat gate valve is a sliding valve whose gate is a parallel gate. The shutter can be a single shutter plate or a double shutter plate, with an expansion mechanism in the middle.
The thrust of the gate on the valve seat is controlled by the pressure of the medium acting on the floating gate plate or floating valve seat. If the flat gate valve is a double shutter flat gate valve, the expansion mechanism seen in the two shutters can compensate for this pressure.

1. The valve seat adopts a floating valve seat structure with O-ring sealing and preload, and the inlet and outlet of the flat gate valve are bidirectionally sealed; in addition, the switching torque of this structure is 1/2 of that of an ordinary valve, and the valve can be easily opened and closed.

2. When the flat gate valve is fully opened, the channel is unobstructed, the flow resistance coefficient is extremely small, there is no pressure loss, and the pipeline can be cleaned with a wool ball

3. The filling material structure with self-sealing ability is adopted, and there is no need for frequent adjustment, the switch is extremely light, and the sealing performance is reliable. An auxiliary sealing grease injection structure is set at the filling material, and the sealing performance is absolutely reliable, truly achieving zero leakage; it solves the shortcomings of general valve packing that is most prone to leakage.

4. When the flat gate valve is closed, the high pressure in the inner cavity can be automatically eliminated, which is convenient to use.

5. Fully enclosed structure, good protection performance, can meet all-weather requirements.
 
 

Selection principles of flat gate valves

1. For oil and natural gas pipelines, single or double gate flat gate valves are used. If the pipeline needs to be cleaned, a rising stem flat gate valve with a single or double gate guide hole is selected.

2. Single gate valves or double gate valve flat gate valves without diversion holes are used for finished oil pipelines and oil storage equipment.

3. Single gate valves or double gate valve flat gate valves with guide holes on the hidden stem floating valve seat are used for oil and natural gas wellhead devices

4. Small flat gate valves are used for pipelines with suspended particle media.

5. Single gate valves or double gate valves with soft seal rising stem flat gate valves are used for urban gas pipelines

6. When constructing urban tap water, single gate valves or double-layer gate valves without diversion are selected.
