The disc ofconcentric wafertype lug butterfly valve is installed in the diameter directionof the pipeline.In thecylindrical channelofthevalvebody,the discrotatesaroundtheaxis,andtherotationangleisbetween0°~90°.When itrotates to 90°,thevalveis fullyopen.Valveiswidelyused,so the samevalvewillbehavedifferentcollocationaccordingtodifferentoccasionsandworkingconditions.

Concentric Wafer Type Lug Butterfly Valve vs Double Eccentric Lug Butterfly Valve？

The concentric lug butterfly valve adopts zero-offset structure with soft rubber seat. It has low cost, low operating torque and supports dead-end service, best for low-pressure clean water and HVAC systems. But the disc continuously rubs against the seat during operation, leading to faster seat wear and limited temperature & pressure range. The double eccentric lug butterfly valve uses double offset design. The disc leaves the seat right after opening, minimizing friction and extending service life. It can be equipped with soft or metal seat for higher pressure and temperature, suitable for medium-pressure pipelines requiring frequent operation, though its price is higher. Both are lug style and permit dead-end service.
