Definition of Knife Gate Valve
    A knife gate valve is a valve that controls fluid flow through the up and down movement of a knife shaped gate. Its main feature is that the gate is designed in a sharp blade shape, which can easily cut and handle media containing solid particles, fibers, or high viscosity slurry, effectively preventing blockage. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for industrial fields such as papermaking, mining, wastewater treatment, and chemical engineering that require the treatment of complex fluids.

Knife gate valves  are one-way or two-way straight through block valve, designed to handle media containing solid particles, fibers, or high viscosity slurries. It mainly consists of the following parts:

Stuffing Box: Located above the valve stem, it uses packing to prevent medium leakage from the connection between the valve stem and the valve body, ensuring a clean and safe operating environment.

When opened, the knife shaped gate is completely lifted and retracted into the valve body, and the fluid channel is completely unobstructed, avoiding any accumulation of media.
