S J Double offset butterfly valves have higher pressure than zero offset butterfly valves. Double eccentric butterfly valves are designed to operate in very harsh environments, requiring high safety, trouble-free operation and minimal maintenance. The double eccentric design ensures safe operation and tightness even in the event of sudden changes in temperature or pressure. The purpose of the second eccentric is to quickly release the compression seal between the closing disc and the valve seat, thereby extending the seal life and reducing torque. When the flapper is closed, the rotary motion of the disc becomes a linear motion, effectively pushing the disc into the sealing space. This design also prevents unnecessary accumulation, such as suspended solids that come into contact between the disc and the sealing surface.
